Learning for life
Wellington East Girls’ College is a state secondary school, situated in Mount Victoria, Wellington with a roll of just over 900 students, mainly from the eastern and southern suburbs. Teaching methods are based on recent research findings about learning. We offer a broad curriculum with opportunities to achieve in many academic subjects, in performing and visual arts, in sport and in personal and social growth. We aim to be a community of learners - teachers and parents as well as students. Our academic outcomes are extremely good.
Involvement and excitement
There is such a lot to do at East! So many sports to choose from, several choirs, debating, dramatic productions, cultural groups, orchestra, rock groups, elective classes, school council, school committees, voluntary groups - it's a busy place!
