WEGC School Fees

The fees are current for the 2011 year as of May.  Please note that some fees are changing in 2012 - if you are more concerned about costs for next year please view this document.

Payment Options

Fees and other payments may be made direct to the Colleges bank account by Direct Credit, Internet banking or Automatic payments.

Receipts

Receipts can be collected from the school office.  Any uncollected receipts will be given to students by form teachers at the end of each term or included with reports when they are sent home.

NZQA Fees

Payment of NZQA (NCEA qualifications) fees can be made to the office

  • as a one off payment or
  • in installments

They must be received by Term Three (date to be advised).  Payments after this will incur an NZQA late fee.

Fees are as follows

  • Student entry fee $76.70*
  • Foreign Fee Paying Students $383.80
  • Scholarships (up to 3 subjects) inclusive in the general fee
  • Scholarships (any above 3) an extra $76.70 per subject
  • Scholarships for FFP students $102.20 per subject (in addition to general fee)

*amounts correct as of May 2011 - note the increase from previous years due to GST rise

Financial Assistance

Applications for this will be due at the end of Term Two (date to be advised).  You can apply for this if:

  • if your family receives a benefit
  • if there is more than one student in the family entering for National Secondary School Qualifications this year
