Mission Statement

Wellington East Girls' College will educate young women academically, physically, socially and aesthetically in a co-operative atmosphere, so that each may realise her full potential and face the future with confidence in whatever role she chooses.

Strategic Goals   

  • Improve achievement for all students
  • Develop an environment that supports student engagement with the learning process
  • Enhance a culture which fosters, respects and develops a sense of belonging
  • Provide and enhance understanding of the cultural diversity within the school community
  • To develop a professional learning community to support the strategic direction in learning and teaching
  • Design a curriculum responsive to the needs of our diverse learners
  • Build an inclusive relationship between the school and the community
  • Build strong information literacy skills within the school community
  • Increase access to and acquisition of skills within the wider school community
  • Review and develop BOT policies and processes to support the strategic direction of the school
