The Food Technology Department offers an exciting programme throughout the school, Years 9-13.
Wellington East Girls' College has a well resourced Food Technology facility. We put emphasis on the practical approach to food technology. A number of opportunities are offered at each level for students to participate in a variety of activities for example hospitality experiences, participating in polytechnic courses and using the Home Economic's flat for preparation and serving of meals. We conduct a Barista Training course for which senior students are awarded a school based certificate as a further qualification.
