On Wednesday the finals of the junior speech competitions were held.  Bethany Miller repeated her good form from last year, winning both the prepared and impromptu categories.  Her prepared speech was on hiccups and the associated perils and remedies.

Alex Read of Year 9 came second in the prepared category, with her speech on the pros and cons of little brothers and Sophia Woodhams of Year 10 was runner up in the always difficult impromptu section.
