J1 Final

The J1s made it to the finals by warming up against WGC 1, beating them 7 - 1. The final was against SMC 1 who proved to be a formidable opposition (they had beaten WEGC 1 – 0 in Term 1). Unfortunately our girls were not able to continue with their winning form on the day and went down to SMC 1 – 0 in the final.

J2 Final

The J2 team played off for 3rd and 4th placing against WGC 2. The game was very tense and see-sawed for most of the time; our girls scored first, then WGC, then WEGC.  It went to and fro the whole game. This highlighted the determination that both teams had to win the game. Our girls’ determination was stronger with WEGC coming through and taking the 3rd placing with a 5-4 win.

The Junior Touch Squad girls were excellent ambassadors’ for WEGC. They competed, they were leaders, they demonstrated high skill levels, they were debonair, they were respectful, they were gracious and they were East Girls.
