| Description |
Earlier this year Tamina Beveridge of Year 9 was asked to rescue a trio( clarinet, viola, piano) who lost their pianist three weeks before the chamber music district contest. Tamina took on this huge job and they received the adjudicator's award. This was an early sign of her versatility and skill.
In September she took part in the Piano Plus Festival and won a number of prizes.
- First in Solo Piano aged 13 to 15 section - There were 21 players, mostly older than Tamina, and only three performance awards to be had.
- First in Chopin/Schumann Class for Solo pianists aged 18 and under - In this class nine very good pianists performed. Tamina performed Chopin Nocturne in C minor.
- Prize for Most Promising Performer under 15 years of age
- Selected for a masterclass with Michael Houston - Only four entrants received this honour.
