The softball team has won nationals for the third year in a row. They are only the second team in the history of the competition to win three times consequtively.

In the past four years they have only lost three games at nationals, and this year they went through undefeated.

They met Newlands College in the final, after having beaten them 14-1 in pool play.  The final ended regular innings tied at 4 all.  In the extra innings East outscored Newlands 4-2, winning the game by a total score of 8-6.

Aroha, Yolanda, Emily, Danny and Chelsea all made the tournament team with Ariana making the ‘best of the rest’ team. Mo Pointon was again named coach of the tournament.  Emily was also named top pitcher.
