| Description | Wild at Heart Spirit Award
Lizzie Werry of Year 13 was presented the 'Wild At Heart Spirit Award' at the Wellington Airport Community Awards Dinner on the 20th of November. Students from each of the five Eastern suburbs colleges are awarded $1500 to go towards further education for their selfless involvement and contribution to their communities. Lizzie was involved in a variety of school groups this year, which included completing her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and organising the school's most successful World Vision fund-raising group ever. "Student achievement in sport or academia is so often lauded but it’s the selfless work that these students have done outside of the rigours of their regular commitments that Wellington Airport is recognising in this award," said Wellington Airport CEO, Steven Fitzgerald. Our kapa haka group, in combination with Rongotai College, performed at the ceremony.
