Kuraroa Ratu-James is currently taking the field in the 2011 Junior Women's World Softball Championships in South Africa.

 
Eight Nations are competing at the World Champs; New Zealand, China, Czech Republic, America, Canada, Puerto Rico, South Africa and Botswana.  The tournament began on December 8th, and since then the NZ team has a record of 4 wins and 2 losses, currently placing them third in their pool, behind the US and Canada.

They have a game against Botswana left, and then it's playoffs on December 15th. 

 
The NZ team spent a couple of days in Australia and left there for SA last week.  The Ratu-James whanau left to join Kura on Sunday and were looking forward to meeting up with their girl.
