Arts
Wellington East is a school that values the Arts, which give students an opportunity to develop creative thinking skills, confidence and team-work. There are a number of fantastically talented students involved in these groups. This year the Arts Committee will be lead by Arts Prefects, Elise Hoggard and Laura Robinson.
We have a hugely creative group of girls at Wellington East who annually perform well at events like Stage Challenge and the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival. There are various groups that practice at lunch times, from dance troupes to theatre sports groups.There are a number of debating teams and events like spelling bees and speech competitions to exercise the mind.
