Student Activism

group

The students of Wellington East are known for having a mature sense of awareness about both themselves and the world around them.  This comes from many factors, like the school's multi-cultural values and being located in Wellington, the political heart of New Zealand.   In 2010 the Charity Committee will be lead by the Charities Prefect, Joanna Sage.

There are several groups which meet in their own time and focus on what they can do to help improve the condition of the world through their own actions.  During the year they do masses of work to raise funds for various charities and raise awareness about issues that teenagers should be considering deeply.
