Music Groups
Wellington East has always taken pride in calling itself a musical school. Our strong music department supports a wide range of talents, from choral singing to concert band, chamber music, orchestra and a rock band.
In 2011, the Music Prefect is Rebecca Howan who is in the orchestra, concert band and small choir.

2010 Big Sing
We had four choirs at the regional competition and they ended up taking home the most prizes of any Wellington school, with Cantala qualifying for nationals.

The annual concert was a showcase of talent with all the bands and choirs at the school performing.
