School Buses

There are special school buses for Wellington East Girls’ College that operate within the school zone in the mornings and again at the end of afternoon school. Recently there have been many more students using the buses which travel certain routes so we are currently working to increase the number of buses to meet the increased demand. If students are having any issues with catching the school buses, these can be logged by sending an email to the contacts below.

The bus timetable is available here.

Snapper and ID Cards

Every student is required to have a current ID card.

The options for ID cards are below:

Snapper Cards - $20

These are recommended for students who travel by bus as a 20% discount is given off the cash price of a single child fare.

Information for Work and Income Support and access to Children and Young Persons facilities is available.

Emergency Planning

In the case of a major emergency, we would keep all students on the school grounds under the supervision of staff. The buildings would be checked and we would keep girls in those that are safe, otherwise we would assemble in our outside evacuation areas.

BYOD at East

Students in Year 9 will need to bring their own digital devices (BYOD) to school for note taking, researching, presenting and other learning activities. Students from other year levels can also bring a device to assist their learning.
