Clean Sweep at the Big Sing

Every East choir won an award at the Big Sing choral festival last week, including several of the major ones.

Thanks to some strong community links with East, the Laughing Samoans group have offered to do a comedy night where funds will be raised to go towards the WEGC Polynesian Group.

Water Polo - 3rd best in the Country

In Term 2 the Water Polo team was placed third at North Islands, the first time East has medalled since 1987. Over the holidays they did even better by getting the bronze medal at Nationals.

Netballers off to a Flying Start

The Senior A Netball team is through to the next round of the national college knock-out tournament after winner the Pulse curtain-raiser TSB Arena this week.  Read more about the game here or watch on isky.

Student Centred Learning

Science and Biology teacher, Rebecca Logan (currently on maternity leave), and her students have been used in a video by the Ministry of Education to illustrate how to use inquiry learning and group work to enhance learning.

Athletics Carnival

Bledisloe came out on top at this year's Athletics Carnival.  It was a gorgeous day and the prefects capped it off with a new school chant and the whole school contributed to a Harlem shake viral video.
