WEGC Board - Mid Term Election November 2023

For those in our school community who have an interest in joining the WEGC Board, there is an opportunity to join the board this year.  We are running our mid term election in November and have two vacancies. If elected you would remain on the board until the mid term elections in 2026.

We have again appointed CES to run this election for us and they began sending nomination forms via email (or post if we have no email) on Friday 22nd September. Please check your SPAM if you should have received one. The roll is open for inspection at the school reception (during school hours) if you wish to check you are on it, or you can email to ask.

Nominations close on Wednesday 11th October at 12 noon. Election day is Wednesday 15th November if needed.  Your first Board meeting would be in 5 December 2023.

Nomination papers will also be available at the school reception. The school will send those onto CES for processing upon receipt from candidates.

I would encourage any parent who is interested in being a Board member to put their name forward. Being a Board member is interesting, you get to see quite a different side of education and how the college works and its a way to contribute to your community.
