We are holding our annual Course Selection Evenings here at the College. This year there will be separate evenings for junior and senior students.

  • Senior information evening Current Y10–12 Wednesday 9 August 2023, 6–8pm
  • Junior information evening Current Y8–9 Tuesday 15 August, 6–8pm

The aim of these events is to inform you and your young person of the wide range of courses on offer and to answer any questions you may have regarding subject requirements, NCEA, University Entrance and possible career pathways. Our Learning Area Leads will be available throughout the evenings in the Matairangi building to answer any questions you may have about the courses on offer.

At the Senior event tertiary providers will be present to provide information on study options and entry requirements. Several health professionals from Te Whatu Ora will also be present to discuss opportunities in nursing, occupational therapy, social work and physiotherapy.

A feature of the evenings is year level presentations from our deans. They will speak about subject choices and NCEA.

We hope you are able to attend an evening and look forward to helping your young person plan for the coming year and beyond. The course booklet is available available on the school website under Learning / Learning areas.

The course booklet will be available on the school website under Learning: https://www.wegc.school.nz/learning-ako/learning-areas
