Multi Choir
Multi Choir is overseen by Mrs Hunt and directed by student leaders. Multi Choir welcomes students from any year level. Multi Choir compete at The Big Sing and are well known for their brilliant gospel singing and many members are also part of Poly Club. Rehearsals are Tuesday lunch times in the Music Recital Room. No audition required,
Rāwhiti
Rāwhiti (formerly known as Cantala) is an auditioned choir directed by Mrs Hunt. Under various directors they have travelled to Singapore, London, Paris, and Vienna, where they came 1st equal at the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna. Cantala travelled through China with the Wellington College Chorale and at the end of 2015, Cantala professionally recorded their first CD. In 2022 the choir performed Carmina Burana with the Orpheus Choir and Orchestra Wellington and in 2024 many of the choir members performed in WOW. Rāwhiti continues to work towards excellence in choral singing while keeping interpretation at the forefront of their performances.
9/10 Choir
9/10 Choir is an non-auditioned choir class for students in year 9 and 10 during Semester 1. The choir is directed by Mrs Hunt. This choir works on three pieces for the Big Sing in June each year and the repertoire includes a variety of genres and languages and includes movement in their performances where appropriate.
Orchestra
Orchestra is an all-comers orchestra for any student who plays an orchestral instrument. The orchestra welcomes students of all abilities, including beginners. Rehearsals are Thursday lunch times in the Music Recital Room. No audition required. The orchestra is overseen by Viv Reid.
Rockquest

Chamber Groups
Do you play a chamber instrument confidently? We can match you up with other instrumentalists and create a chamber group just for you. Simply let us know what you play and to what level and we will see if we can make it happen for you. Viv Reid oversees the chamber groups so reach out to her if you’re keen.
