Important information:

  • Students should go directly to Newtown Park to begin the day at 8.45am.
  • Attendance is compulsory for all students.
  • Please follow our usual attendance procedures if your student is unwell on the day.
  • Please ensure that your student arrives at Newtown Park with their sunblock, a sunhat, a warm jacket, a drink bottle, and lunch.
  • There will be a fundraising sausage sizzle and ice blocks will be available for purchase on the day (cash only). Please leave valuables at home.
  • Students are encouraged to dress up in non-uniform house colours that are comfortable for participation in all events. Costumes should be appropriate for a school event and allow for active participation. Sneakers are recommended.
  • Face paint must be applied at home before arrival at Newtown Park as it cannot be brought onsite.
  • Our school cell phone policy extends to offsite trips. Students will need to have their phones away for the day.

Cancellation

Newtown Park is an all weather track. The council does not allow a postponement date and as such we will do everything we can to run the event on the day. In the unlikely event of cancellation due to weather, a decision will be made on the afternoon of Wednesday 18 of February and communicated to students and families via email and on our school Facebook and Instagram pages. If canceled, students should come to school in uniform for a regular school day on Friday 20 Feb.
