Enrolments Public Notice 2026

This 2026 Public Notice outlines the Zones and estimated available placements for 13 schools in the Wellington region.

Wellington East Girls' College has an enrolment zone scheme.  Girls living in our zone have automatic entry.  We also welcome enrolment of international students - please see further information under International.

You may like to read our 2018 Education Review Office (ERO) report to get a sense of how the school is progressing and performing.

Important dates for Year 9 2026 enrolments:

• 28th April 2025 - We will be accepting on-line enrolments from the start of Term 2.
• 23 July 2025 - All Year 9 applications (including Out of Zone applicants) to be received.‍
• ‍28 July 2025 - Ballot for out of zone Year 9 2025 places TBC
• 24 July 2025* - Our school planning deadline for enrolments for Year 9 2025 ‍
• 31 July 2025 - Out of Zone Parents to be notified of Year 9 2025 ballot outcomes TBC
• 14 August 2025 - Deadline for Parents to accept of Year 9 2025 (out of zone) ballot place TBC
• 18 - 22 August 2025 - Enrolment meetings (to help with transition to college) Dates tba

*For planning purposes we request applications for students who live in our home zone, for entry into Year 9 in 2025, to be in the inbox of WEGC Enrolment Officer by 23 July 2025.  This is not a deadline for in zone students.  In zone applications can be accepted at any time by the enrolment officer.
