Kia ora koutou,

I hope you and your whānau are well. I know that some of our Senior students and Junior students who are sitting external assessments at the end of the year will be concerned about Derived Grade Exams which are due to be held next week. These exams are important to our students in terms of derived grades and also gaining the feedback needed for external exam preparation.

Due to the uncertainty around alert levels we have made the decision to reschedule Derived Grade Exams to the week beginning 20 September (Week 9).

As yet we do not know if Alert Level 4 for our region will extend beyond the weekend or if there will be changes next week. The staff have been reviewing our online learning provision should we need to continue with this mode of learning for a longer period of time.  We will communicate with you any changes to the East@home programme as soon as we can, following the government announcement on Friday.

Please feel free to make contact with your child’s Ako teacher or Dean if you have any concerns.

Ngā mihi nui
