As yet, it is unclear when the Government imposed lockdown will end. However, staff have been working over the break to ensure that East@home, our digital distance learning for students, is ready for the start of Term 2 on Wednesday 15th April.

There have been some changes based on feedback we received from the students on our trial day. Parents from each year group have been emailed the changes and the "East@Home" site has been updated. It is important that your child attends the first Ako session at 10am on Wednesday 15th April. This session is an opportunity for the Ako teacher to go through the learning programme and answer any questions students may have.

Some senior students may be experiencing some anxiety around NCEA. Please reassure students that we are committed to continuing to provide assessment opportunities remotely. We are using the flexibility of the NCEA qualification and the guidelines provided by NZQA to enable our Senior students to complete their qualifications as planned this year.

A plan for transitioning back to school after the lockdown ends is being worked on. Thank you for your continued support.
